Who we are
MyCVFit ("we", "us") is an AI-assisted job application toolkit. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
- Account data: email address and authentication identifiers.
- Resume and profile data: the resumes, LinkedIn exports, and structured profile fields you upload or paste.
- Job data: job URLs, titles, companies, and descriptions you save.
- Generated content: tailored resumes, cover letters, contact-search suggestions, and outreach drafts we produce for you.
- Usage and analytics: standard web analytics (page views, device, approximate location) via Google Analytics, with consent.
How we use it
- To provide the core service: parse your resume, tailor it to a job, draft cover letters and outreach messages.
- To suggest search starting points for outreach research. We pass your job description to an AI model to suggest target role types — we do not scrape, store, or sell anyone's profile data.
- To send you transactional email (account, reminders) and, with consent, product updates.
- To monitor and improve reliability and performance.
AI processing
Generative AI features send your resume, job descriptions, and related prompt context to third-party AI providers via the Lovable AI Gateway. We do not use your data to train models, and we do not authorize providers to do so on our behalf.
Contact research
The Contacts feature suggests types of people to search for based on the job description (e.g. "Engineering Manager on the Payments team"). We generate LinkedIn and Google search links you can click. We do not scrape LinkedIn, do not store third-party profiles, and do not sell or share any contact data.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us run the product (hosting, database, email, AI inference, payments, analytics). We do not sell personal data.
Retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. You can delete your resume, jobs, and generated content from inside the app at any time. To delete your entire account, email us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA) you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, restricted access, and authenticated APIs. No system is perfectly secure; we'll notify you of material breaches as required by law.
Children
MyCVFit is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we make material changes, we'll update this page and adjust the "last updated" date.
